Lewis Hamilton believes Ferrari is competitive and “in the mix” at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, following a strong performance at Silverstone on Friday. Despite leading FP1 and finishing third in FP2 behind Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, Ferrari seems to be McLaren’s closest rival in both qualifying and race pace. Hamilton, aiming for a record 10th home win, expressed confidence after a challenging start with Ferrari, where he has had to find different set-up solutions from Friday to Saturday. He acknowledged the importance of executing a strong weekend but remains positive about the team’s potential. Hamilton attributed his improved Friday performance to progress with the car and feeling more comfortable with its setup, while also preparing for upcoming rainy conditions over the weekend.
